OSCE CENTER IN ASHGABAT TRAINS FUTURE POLITICAL JOURNALISTS

At the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, from 11 to 14 October, the OSCE Center in Ashgabat, within the framework of the project "Assistance in the Modernization of the Education of Journalists and Communication Specialists", conducts four-day online courses for students of the faculties of political communication and journalism of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan.

In addition to students of the Faculty of International Journalism of the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, students of the International University for the Humanities and Development and the Turkmen State University named after. Makhtumkuli.

The rectorate of the IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has created all the necessary conditions for students in the courses, as well as provided the best audiences with modern multimedia equipment.

Head of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat, Ambassador John MacGregor, opening the courses, wished the students success in mastering the basics of political journalism.

International experts, professors D. Gavre and I. Bykov from the Russian Federation give lectures and conduct seminars, highlighting the intricacies of the work of political journalists. Particularly attractive for students were lectures on the topics: "Websites and social networks in the activities of public authorities", "The practice of interaction between public authorities with journalists and the public", "Information and psychological operations" and others.

The very first classes aroused a keen interest among future journalists, as evidenced by their active participation in the classes and many questions to their authoritative teachers.
