«NUR» AND «MYLAÝYM»: CANNED PRODUCTS FROM VEGETABLES AND MELONS

The measures taken to support domestic producers stimulate the growth of agricultural production, have made it possible to significantly reduce the import of food products and increase their own production. In the first 5 months of 2021, entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan managed to collect 86.7% more fruits and vegetables than last year. Greenhouses provide the population of cities and villages with fresh vegetables all year round. The production of canned fruits and vegetables, natural juices, drinks, all kinds of confectionery has been established.

The «Owadan ülke» plant, which specializes in the production of canned vegetables, fruits, mayonnaise, ketchup and jams under the «NUR» and «Mylaýym» trademarks, is expanding its range and increasing the production of new types of products from local raw materials. In particular, this year experts have developed a recipe for several types of sauces, including garlic, cheese and mushroom.

The line of jams made from fruits and melons, which are in high demand among the population, will be expanded. Along with the familiar, consumers, jams from natural raw materials - apple, apple with cinnamon, carrot, pumpkin and quince, from melon - the specialists of the Ashgabat enterprise will prepare new types of jam from agricultural products grown by domestic entrepreneurs. In the opening season, the company plans to produce fruit jams five times more than last year - about one hundred thousand cans. As part of cooperation with confectionery manufacturers, the factory workers are mastering the production of fillings from black currant, peach, apricot, cherry and strawberry.

The season of pickling products is open. This season, entrepreneurs will offer the population more than twenty types of long-term storage products. These are pickled cucumbers and tomatoes, eggplant caviar, adjika, pepper paste. For the first time, consumers will taste a canned assortment of salted vegetables not previously produced in the country. Turkmen melons will be «covered» in marinade, syrup and even in the form of jam.

At the «Owadan ülke» plant located in the Ak Bugday etrap, under the «Mylaýym» brand, the production of three types of mayonnaise has been established, the recipe of which includes local cottonseed oil. The NUR product line, thanks to its high quality and affordable prices, is in high consumer demand.
