THE OPENING OF NEW IMPORTANT FACILITIES - A SYMBOL OF THE COUNTRY'S SUCCESSFUL SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Today the Balkan velayat hosted solemn ceremonies of putting into operation several important objects at once, which became a vivid evidence of the success of the implementation of the comprehensive program of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the accelerated socio-economic development of the country's regions and one of the significant construction premieres of the current festive year of the 30th anniversary of the sacred independence of the Motherland, held under the deeply symbolic motto “Turkmenistan is the Motherland of Peace and Trust”.
The current ceremonies were attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers S. Berdimuhamedov in charge of the Balkan velayat, deputies of the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh, heads and representatives of velayat, city and etrap hyakimliks, branch ministries and departments, public organizations, honorary elders and youth.
Addressing the audience at the opening ceremony of the new building of the infectious disease hospital in the city of Turkmenbashi, Deputy Prime Minister S. Berdimuhamedov stressed that the current important event is a clear confirmation of the great concern shown by the Turkmen leader for health of the nation, happiness and well-being of which are priority vectors of the state socially oriented policy.
Dr. Hans Kluge, Director of the European Regional Bureau of the World Health Organization, joined the opening ceremony of the new healthcare facility via video conferencing and warmly congratulated the audience on today's event. Stressing that medical centers are an important part of society and symbolize the well-being, safety, reliability and activity of the medical infrastructure of Turkmenistan, H. Kluge noted the special importance of this clinic in the fight against infectious diseases.
The new infectious diseases hospital in Turkmenbashi is another example of large-scale work being carried out in Turkmenistan to ensure epidemiological surveillance, prevention and effective treatment of various dangerous infectious diseases.
The clinic was built and equipped in accordance with international standards. Its structure includes: admission department, laboratory, departments for functional diagnostic, operating, intensive care, maternity, physiotherapy, dispensary observation, viral hepatitis, infectious diseases of the upper respiratory tract, intestinal infections, especially dangerous infectious diseases transmitted by airborne droplets, and department for treatment of chronic infectious diseases.
The hospital is provided with modern medical equipment from the world's leading manufacturers, in particular, Germany, Sweden, Italy, France, Japan, USA, South Korea, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Great Britain and the People's Republic of China.
So, the functional diagnostic department includes rooms for computed tomography, ultrasound, electrocardiography, endoscopy, an X-ray room, and a fibro scan room.
The employees of the infectious diseases hospital also have the latest generation laboratory devices for various studies at their disposal.
The department also carries out a number of express tests for blood sugar content, hemoglobin, cholesterol, urea, bilirubin and its fractions, determination of pH, protein in urine, glucose, viral hepatitis antigens, other viruses, and their qualitative and quantitative study.
In the physiotherapy department is equipped with state of art equipment from the world's leading manufacturers allowing patients to effectively supplement the course of treatment with prescribed procedures.

The modern infrastructure of the state’s healthcare sector has been supplemented today by a medical facility, which was solemnly opened in the Magtymguly etrap. This is a new hospital with 50 inpatient and 30 outpatient beds.
At the opening ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers S. Berdimuhamedov noted in his speech that one of the priority directions of the state policy of the President of Turkmenistan is health protection of Turkmen citizens, ensuring access of the population both in cities and in rural areas to high-quality medical services corresponding international standards.
The hospital has a number of departments, including admission, consulting, functional diagnostics, internal medicine, childhood diseases, ambulance, etc. Its structure also includes a laboratory and a blood bank.
In the advisory department, there are offices of a therapist, surgeon, ophthalmologist, otolaryngologist, dentist and other narrow specialists. They have the latest equipment at their disposal that allows them to accurately diagnose diseases, determine and prescribe the necessary treatment, and promptly provide medical assistance.
Qualified specialists also conduct appointments at the Functional Diagnostics Department. Affiniti ultrasound machine from the Dutch company Phillips is installed in the ultrasound room. In fact, the department can serve as an innovative platform with multifunctional research paths. In the cardiologist's office there is a 12-channel electrocardiograph “Cardio M Plus” (“Medical Econet”, Germany) and an electrocardiograph manufactured by the German company “Siemens”, which determines the peculiarities of the work of all parts of the heart.
The X-ray room, CT and endoscopy rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art specialized equipment. In particular, the Sienna electroencephalograph from the Austrian company EMS Handelsges, the fluorograph and X-ray machine manufactured by Villa Sistemi Medicali (Italy), the Access CT computer tomograph from the Phillips company, the EG-2990K video gastroscope from the Japanese company “Hoya Corporation”, etc. are installed here.
The structure of the hospital clinic includes surgical, therapeutic, operating, physiotherapy, maternity, gynecological, infectious diseases, as well as anesthesiology and resuscitation departments. Their specialized equipment meets the highest international standards. All conditions have been created here for patients to receive effective and high-quality treatment. Single and double rooms are appropriately equipped, where all conveniences are provided.
The operating department is equipped, in particular, with a laparoscope with “Various” monitor of German production from “Olympus” company, which creates ample opportunities for performing low-traumatic operations on the abdominal organs.
