THE NEXT ISSUE OF DEMOCRACY AND LAW JOURNAL

The next issue of Democracy and Law quarterly scientific-applied journal has been published. The publication, prepared for publication by the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan in Turkmen, English and Russian, highlights topical issues of public life and international cooperation in the legal sphere.

The article “The Main Directions of UNDP Cooperation in Turkmenistan”, authored by Ms. Narine Sahakyan, Resident Representative of the UN Development Program office in our country, opens the issue.

The readers are offered the article by UNICEF Deputy Representative in Turkmenistan, Alexandru Nartea, “Progress in the Implementation of the National Action Plan for the Rights of the Child for 2018-2022 and Prospects for the Development of a New NAP”.

The publication “Guarantees of Human Rights Protection in the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the Development of Civil Society” refers to the ongoing democratic reforms in the country, the improvement of national legislation in the field of human rights protection.

The article “Role of Digitalization in the Implementation of Administrative Legislation”, which deals with the key instrument of progress – global technological transformation, will also attract the attention of readers.

Among the publications of the journal is the article “Ensuring the Realization of Children’s Rights in Turkmenistan”, which touches on the topic of comprehensive disclosure of the potential of the younger generation. In this regard, the documents, being in force in our country regulating the field of education, national concepts and programs aimed at ensuring the protection and promotion of children’s rights, are considered.

The article “On the Path of Independence and Neutrality” notes that the adoption of the UN Resolution “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan” at the United Nations General Assembly on December 12, 1995 was an obvious recognition of the international community’s full support for the peaceful policy pursued by our sovereign state, which is based on the primordial and unshakable traditions of good neighborliness, tolerance and humanism of the Turkmen people.

A separate article is devoted to the environmental legislation of Turkmenistan, which is in the center of special attention of the state. Interesting information and facts given in the publication indicate the improvement of the legislative framework for activities in the field of nature protection, aimed at creating the necessary conditions for the practical realization of human rights, an environment being favorable for life and health.

The traditional column ‘Chronicle’, which highlights meetings, sessions and other events held in Ashgabat with the participation of representatives of reputable international organizations, completes the publication.
