READY FOR SUFFERING

Farmers of the Dashoguz velayat are getting ready for a responsible campaign-gathering the grown rich harvest of raw cotton. All links that will be involved in the 2022 harvest intend to ensure high rates of procurement of raw materials from the first days of the harvest. Thus, it is expected that more than 1,600 vehicles will be involved in the transportation of cotton. The region also has an impressive fleet of cotton harvesting equipment, hundreds of which will hit the fields. Among them are more than 200 high-performance combines of the John Deere brand and a large number of Uzbek-made MX-1.8 cotton pickers aggregated with tractors.

The cotton ginning enterprises of the Production Association “Daşoguzpagta” are aimed at the uninterrupted processing of the new crop and the high quality of the products. Its system includes 9 ginneries, including a new super-modern specialized plant for processing seed cotton with a capacity of 40,000 tons of products per year and a cotton receiving terminal for the simultaneous storage of 10,000 tons of raw cotton in the Kunyaurgench etrap. Their production facilities allow processing locally grown raw cotton into high-quality products with competitive characteristics that meet the requirements of the textile industry.

All available collection points in the region were also prepared for round-the-clock work, where preventive repairs and laboratories were carried out in a timely manner to check the quality of the delivered raw material.

This year, the basis of the harvest will be such time-tested and distinguished by good germination, early ripening, high quality and fiber yield, medium-staple cotton varieties such as Daşoguz-120, Daşoguz-114, Gubadag-3, Jeýhun, S4727", "F149". For the first time, the Ýolöten-39 cotton variety, developed by domestic specialists, was added to them, previously successfully used in other parts of the country. Although it has been placed in relatively small areas so far, the novelty has taken root painlessly in the fields and yielded a crop in accordance with the parameters laid down in it.

As in other regions of the country, in the Dashoguz velayat, cotton growing is inextricably linked with the domestic textile industry. The volumes of raw cotton production achieved here, good prospects for the further development of the cotton industry, set the task of processing the entire crop grown locally into high-quality, competitive on the world market, environmentally friendly, meeting the highest quality standards, finished products.

High-tech textile enterprises located in the velayat contribute to this. Their flagship, a large cotton-spinning factory in Dashoguz, is capable of processing over 16.6 thousand tons of cotton fiber per year and producing 14.5 thousand tons of high-quality Ring brand cotton yarn, which is in great demand on world markets.
