TURKMENISTAN WILL START PICKING COTTON ON SEPTEMBER

Harvesting of the main agricultural crop of the Turkmen agro-industrial complex - cotton, will begin on the 14th of September. The date of the start of the white campaign was determined by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting via video link.

The head of state noted that an important and responsible season begins in agriculture - the cotton harvest. He gave his blessing to start the cotton harvest in Ahal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary velayats on the 7th of September, and in Dashoguz velayat on the 14th of September, addressing the honourary elders with a request to start the harvesting campaign with the words “Bismillah!”.

“Let your Harmans be plentiful, courageous cotton growers!”, the President of Turkmenistan said, wishing the courageous farmers and all agricultural workers of the country good health, family well-being, great success in their work for the benefit of the further prosperity of our sovereign Motherland.
