TURKMEN SCHOOLCHILDREN WON 5 MEDALS AT THE XIX INTERNATIONAL ZHAUTYKOV OLYMPIAD

2 silver and 3 bronze medals - this is the result of the participation of schoolchildren from Turkmenistan in the XIX International Zhautykov Online Olympiad, held in Almaty by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan from February 1 to February 10 of this year. A total of 5 medals were brought to Turkmen schoolchildren by a successful performance in mathematics at the site of the Olympiad.

2 silver medals were won by Rahym Agamyradov, a student of the 10th grade of the capital's specialized secondary school №86 with in-depth study of English, chemistry and biology, and Davut Muhammetgurbanov, a student of the 11th grade of a specialized secondary school №46 with an in-depth study of the exact and natural sciences of Ak Bugday etrap, Ahal velayat.

Bronze medals were awarded to schoolchildren from the capital - Selim Halykov, a student of the 10th grade of a specialized general boarding school named after S. Turkmenbashy and Kerimguly Bendov, a student of the 11th grade of a specialized secondary school №86 with in-depth study of English, chemistry and biology. A schoolboy from the northern region of the country, Alihan Jumabayev, a 11th grade student of the specialized secondary school №26 with in-depth study of English, chemistry and biology in Dashoguz, also became the owner of the bronze medal.

In general, Turkmenistan was represented in the Olympiad by 26 talented mathematicians - students of schools in Ashgabat and the country's velayats. The team of young connoisseurs of the «queen of sciences» was headed by Arslan Hojiyev, a teacher of mathematics at the specialized general education boarding school named after S. Turkmenbashy in Ashgabat.

This year the International Zhautykov Olympiad brought together over 1200 participants from 26 countries of the world - Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Turkey, Peru and others.

Having made worthy competition to each other, the strongest teams of schoolchildren from different countries demonstrated their knowledge, skills and training in three areas of the prestigious international review - mathematics, physics, computer science. Over half a thousand schoolchildren from the total number of participants in the Olympiad competed in the mathematics competition.
