The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the event to launch the initiative: “A Call for Peace, the End of Wars, and Respect for International Law”

On April 25-26, 2025, in the city of Guernica, as part of a visit to the Kingdom of Spain, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov took part in an event to launch the initiative: “A Call for Peace, the End of Wars, and Respect for International Law”.

The event was attended by government officials, representatives of international organizations, youth leaders, as well as representatives of academia and civil society.

The participants of the event emphasized that this event is an international message on the need to protect peace and the rule of law, and will also give new impetus to global efforts to strengthen peace and trust and will be an important contribution to the implementation of the goals of the UN Charter.

In his speech, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan noted that Turkmenistan’s three-time recognized neutral status serves as a platform for promoting peace initiatives, dialogue between countries and conflict prevention. These steps demonstrate Turkmenistan’s desire to make a real contribution to strengthening the culture of peace and developing international cooperation based on the principles of equality and mutual respect.

In addition, the importance of developing dialogue between cultures, religions and peoples in strengthening peace and mutual understanding was noted.
