A telephone conversation took place between the heads of the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Croatia

On July 16, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Gordan Grlić-Radman.

The heads of the foreign policy departments discussed the current state of bilateral relations and exchanged views on the prospects for further development of Turkmen-Croatian cooperation in a wide range of areas of mutual interest.

The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the positive experience of cooperation between the two countries on international platforms, primarily within the UN. In the context of efforts to ensure peace and security, the parties emphasized their commitment to interaction within the OSCE.

The ways of developing trade and economic relations were considered in detail. In this regard, the interlocutors noted the importance of the planned visit of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia to Turkmenistan in October of this year, during which the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Croatian Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation and the Economic Forum with the participation of representatives of business circles of Turkmenistan and Croatia will take place.

During the conversation, issues related to the preparation and holding of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3) were touched upon. The ministers also emphasized the importance of the International Forum on Peace and Trust scheduled for December 12, 2025 in Ashgabat.
