Meeting with the Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the Russian Federation

On December 13, 2025, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the Russian Federation Sin Hong Chol, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality and the International Day of Neutrality.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of the DPRK conveyed congratulations to the Turkmen side on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality.

The interlocutors noted the increased dynamics of contacts between the foreign policy agencies of the two countries in recent years, within the framework of which topical issues of interstate bilateral partnership and cooperation within major international organizations are discussed.

It was emphasized that the regular exchange of official messages between the leaders of the two countries reflects the mutual respect and understanding that exist in relations between Turkmenistan and the DPRK.

During the conversation, the sides expressed their commitment to the consistent expansion of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
