Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Turkmenistan presented copies of his credentials

On 17 February 2026, a meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Turkmenistan (with residence in Tehran), Rolliansyah Soemirat, who presented copies of his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment to this important post, the Turkmen side expressed its readiness to provide the diplomat with comprehensive assistance and support in his activities aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Particular attention was paid to partnership in the international arena. The parties expressed their willingness to continue the practice of mutual support for initiatives put forward within the UN.

Following the talks, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to consistently strengthening and expanding their mutually beneficial partnership.
