About the meeting of the President of Turkmenistan with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic

On May 22, 2026, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the regular meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan expressed gratitude for the hospitality and conveyed to the head of state warm greetings and best wishes from President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov. The guest emphasized that Kyrgyzstan highly values ​​ the contribution of Turkmenistan to ensuring sustainable development in the region.

Adylbek Kasymaliev noted his warm memories of the friendly visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen People to the Kyrgyz Republic in April 2025, emphasizing the special contribution of Hero Arkadag to the development of Kyrgyz-Turkmen relations.

Having conveyed his best wishes to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the head of state thanked Adylbek Kasymaliev for accepting the invitation to visit Turkmenistan, emphasizing that his participation in the current meeting confirms the commitment of Kyrgyz Republic to further strengthening multilateral cooperation within the CIS.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also expressed his firm belief that the decisions taken following the meeting will serve to strengthen cooperation between the CIS member states, and that the current visit of the guest will contribute to further development of interstate ties.

During the conversation, the President noted that relations between Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic are traditionally based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and friendship, and expressed satisfaction with the high level of cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.

Speaking about bilateral trade-economic relations, the head of state noted the great potential for cooperation in areas such as transport, oil and gas industry, electric power, and agriculture. The adherence of the Turkmen side to further deepening the partnership in these areas was noted.

Humanitarian cooperation was identified as an integral part of bilateral ties. In this context, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan highly values ​​efforts to continue cultural, educational, and scientific exchanges between the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic – Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev wished each other good health, success in their responsible government work, as well as progress and prosperity to the fraternal peoples of two countries.
