U.S. Ambassador to Turkmenistan Concludes Her Diplomatic Mission

On 18 July 2026, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Turkmenistan, Elizabeth Rood, who is concluding her diplomatic mission in the country.

During the meeting, the sides noted the positive momentum in the development of Turkmen-U.S. cooperation in recent years. It was emphasized that contacts and visits at the highest and high levels play an important role in strengthening bilateral relations.

The interlocutors discussed the current state of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States, as well as prospects for further collaboration in the political and diplomatic, trade and economic, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked the Ambassador for her contribution to the development of the partnership between the two countries and wished her every success in her future professional endeavors.

For her part, Ambassador Rood expressed her sincere gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for the support and assistance extended to her throughout her diplomatic service in the country.
