FLIGHT GEOGRAPHY OF TURKMENISTAN AIRLINES OJSV EXPANDS FROM DECEMBER

Turkmenistan aviators will plot new routes to Southeast Asia and Arabian Peninsula as well as resume flights to European direction. Sale of tickets to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Jeddah (Saud Arabia), Birmingham (Great Britain) and Frankfurt (Germany) will start in few days. Turkmenistan Airlines OJSV will start passenger flights to this countries in the second half of December.

Turkmen aviators transport almost 3 million passengers per year on local and international flights. Receiving of certificate, which proved the correspondence with requirements of European safety system and licence of air flights to European cities, was a significant events for the airlines.

According to the results of the audit conducted by European Agency of Safe Aviation in Ashgabat, the airline was authorised as the third country operator. Thus, European agency confirmed the correspondence with the requirements for the airlines of the countries, which are not members of the above-mentioned union.

The certificate for European flights was a result of joint work of personnel of Turkmenistan Airlines OJSV and experts of Lufthansa Consulting on fulfilment of relative requirements of the EASA. Team of specialists for quality and safety of flights, operation and maintenance of aviation equipment has been involved in fulfilment of the objective.

Recommendations of European agency were fulfilled with the experts. Digital technologies have been introduced almost in all sections of activity of the airline. Integrated programme software AMOS- Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering System has been bought. Electronic document turnover is implemented between services of airlines. Trainings of personnel are conducted.

At present time, personnel of airlines study economic situation of the flight market in Europe and Asia and prepare to increase number of flights and to expand the geography of flights in perspective directions – Asian Pacific region and Arabian Peninsula countries.

National carriers connects further development of flights to these regions with use of lasts aviation equipment – long-distance super modern aircraft Boeing 777 – 200 LR. The fleet of this aircrafts will be increased in 2021. Regular flights to Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) will be made on this comfortable aircraft.

The routes, which will allow tourists from Europe, Turkey, CIS, Thailand and Vietnam making flights to Arabian Peninsula via Ashgabat International Airport, are under development. These flights will be connected with the routes from Germany England, Russian and Turkey, which will give additional comfort for transit travellers.
