PEASANT ASSOCIATIONS PLANT POTATOES
Agricultural workers in the country started potatoes planting campaign. Several thousand hectares of fertile land will be sown with potatoes. Taking advantage of favorable weather conditions, the agricultural workers in Lebap velayat were among the first to start the campaign. According to the Lebap velayat branch of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Tebigy Ekin Peasant Association, the Chardjevsky etrap planted potatoes on more than 420 hectares, Jadaly Mukam Peasant Association, the Denevetrap planted potatoes on more than 40 hectares. Private entrepreneurs in the Sayat and Denev etraps - Babamurat Dovranov and Nurmurat Nuryev will plant potatoes on 40 hectares.
1,500 hectares of lands were allocated for potatoes in the Chardzhev and Denevetraps. Agricultural workers in the regions are planning to harvest 140 centners from each hectare.
Private enterprises in the Ahal and Mary velayats will plant potatoes on 3,000-hectare area.
