REPRESENTATIVE OF TURKMEN DIASPORA PARTICIPATE IN CELEBRATION EVENT IN KAZAN

The event dedicated to International Nowruz Day, under which the culture and original traditions of Turkmen people were presented, has been held in Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation.

National and cultural autonomy of Turkmens in the Republic of Tatarstan together with Turkmen students and support of Turkmenistan’s General Consulate in Kazan has organized an exhibition, which items allowed making trip back to the history as well as introducing mental values of our people and aesthetics of rituals.

Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federan, national communities of the nations of Russian Federation, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and other countries as well as foreign diplomats were the guests of the event.

Articles of decorative and applied art of Turkmens have raised big interest of the visitors. Honored place has been given in the exposition to works of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. 

Under presentation of gastronomic traditions of Nowruz, the guests were able to enjoy the best dishes of Turkmen cuisine, one of which – the plov, has been among top 3 of the best dishes of the celebration event.

The color of national folklore, classical melodies and modern works were presented by the students. Performance of ancient ritual kushtdepdy dance was a bright final chord of the concert.
