THE CENTER OF INTERNATIONAL AHALTEKE HORSE ASSOCIATION AND INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION «TÜRKMEN ALABAÝ ITLERI» IS OPENED
The opening ceremony of the Center of International Ahalteke Horse Association and International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri» has been held in Ashgabat.
The Speaker of the Mejlis of National Assembly, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Council of National Assembly, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and profile departments, public organizations, mass media, head of the administration of Ashgabat took part in the opening ceremony of the Center of International Ahalteke Horse Association and International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri».
In solemn atmosphere, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, head of International Ahalteke Horse Association and International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri» Serdar Berdimuhamedov has cut a traditional ribbon – new profile facility was opened.
Continuing the ceremony, the participants have looked around the infrastructure and provision of the Center, conditions made in this place for effective work of specialists and organization of various events.
The ground floor of the building accommodates the Museum, which exposition includes original sculptures and pictures of ahalteke horses – outstanding representatives of this legendary, world famous breed, and Turkmen shepherd dogs as well as thematic carpets.
The specialist presented substantial information about museum values to the guests. Special place in the exposition is occupied by the carpet with weaved poem of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov «Türkmen alabaýy».
In addition, beautiful samples of horse decorations indicating unlimited love of Turkmen people to their horses and tender attitude to them. The traditions to decorate the horses, which originated in the ancient time, have remained in national culture until our day being implemented in works of modern talented jewelers. In old times, such decoration have also performed protective function and served as amulet.
Along with this, samples of saddles for races as well as celebration decoration of the horses, to which horse coaches approach with big responsibility, were also demonstrated.
Video capturing a remarkable moment when President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented Vepaly, a cub of Turkmen shepherd dog to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in 2017 has been demonstrated to the participants of the ceremony on special monitor installed in the Museum.
The head of the state noted back then that Turkmen dogs are loyal friends of Turkmen people from the old days. It is not occasionally Vepaly, the alabay was selected as a symbol of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games, which were held in Ashgabat in September 2017.
This gift to President Vladimir Putin symbolizes the commitment to traditions of centuries-old Turkmen – Russian friendship and trustful personal relations between the heads of two states.
Videos about Turkmen shepherd dog presented by Turkmen leader to the Former Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and how it lives in Russia where the dog has well adapted itself to climate conditions including snowy winters have also been demonstrated.
Videos about new foul Ashgabat, which is an offspring of legendary Akhan, process of its maturation and formation as a racing horse have also been presented to the participants of the ceremony.
Further, the participants of the ceremony have looked around the library of the Center. Books of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov translated to different world languages occupy special place in the library. It includes books dedicated ahalteke horses and Turkmen shepherd dogs such as “Ahalteke horse – Our Pride and Glory”, “Fast Run of Horse”, “Horse – Symbol of Loyalty and Happiness”, “Turkmen Shepherd Dog”. Embodying unbreakable tie of times and generation, these works of the head of the state narrate about unique historical and cultural heritage of Turkmen people.
It is worth to mention that the library has very big book collection. It is fully computerized, which provides users with wide access to electronic library resources, profile scientific and methodological literature. It also has periodic printing media dedicated to ahalteke horses and dogs.
Having three languages, electronic website of the library is updated with information on ahalteke horses and Turkmen shepherd dogs, which images are also resembled in folklore, on daily basis. Thus, different legends from the book of the head of the state are regularly published on the webpages of the site.
Further, the participants of the event went on the first floor of the building and looked around the offices of the Center, which are equipped with all necessary hardware for efficient activity of personnel, who have computers and other office equipment at their disposal.
The conference hall and specialized premises of the Center have all conditions for conducting sessions, other events, meeting and international forums including on online format. Optimum conditions for productive work of participants of events using advanced technologies are also provided in this place.
After the opening ceremony of the Center, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Head of International Ahalteke Equestrian Association and International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri» Serdar Berdimuhamedov has left a note in the Book of Honorary Guests.
