REPRESENTATIVES OF TURKMENISTAN AND IRAN DISCUSS TRANSPORT COOPERATION IN THE CASPIAN SEA

Representatives of ports and maritime administrations of Turkmenistan and Iran have discussed aspects of transport cooperation in the Caspian Sea during online talks.

The website of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat informs that Head of the Türkmendeňizderýaýollary Agency Anna Durdiyev and General Director for Transit, Logistics and Agreements of Port and Maritime Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hosrov Sarayi have exchanged the views on intensification of maritime transportation in the Caspian Sea. In particular, the opportunity of expansion of transport cooperation between Turkmen Turkenbashy International Seaport and Iranian ports of Amirabad, Nowshahr and Enzely has been reviewed.

The sides have also highlighted the commitment of the officials of Turkmenistan and Iran to expansion of the partnership in transport and transit spheres.
