PARLIAMENTARY SPEAKERS OF ECO MEMBER STATES DISCUSS AGENDA OF COOPERATION

According to IRNA news agency, the second conference of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states will take place on June 1- 2 in Islamabad. 

The meeting of the heads of parliaments of the ECO member states will be held under the slogan Promoting Parliamentary Partnership for Regional Integration. 

Forum participants will discuss such issues as the role of women in promoting the regional agenda, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on sustainable development, the role of parliaments in stimulating trade and promoting tourism in ECO member states, etc.

As reported, in March this year, Turkmenistan has assumed the chairmanship over the Economic Cooperation Organization.
