TURKMENISTAN IS EXPECTED IN KAZAN AT XV INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FESTIVAL OF TURKIC-SPEAKING NATIONS “NOWRUZ”
XV International Theatre Festival of Turkic-speaking nations “Nowruz” will be held in Kazan on June 6 – 11. The program of the festival includes performance of 28 theatres from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan as well as republics of Russian Federation, kazan.if.ru informs.
“The festival is remarkable with the fact that is held in the year of Native Languages and National Solidarity proclaimed in the Republic of Tatarstan by President Rustam Minnikhanov this year. XV International Theatre Festival of Turkic-speaking nations “Nowruz” gives an opportunity to reach out to our roots, to search for common principles and values, which would be relevant for entire theatre community of Turkic-speaking nations”, - Minister of Culture of Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova highlighted.
It is proposed that around 500 people will participate in the festival. The plays will be held in the theatres of Kamal, Ekiyat, Tinchurin and Kariyev as well as on the corniche of the Kaban Lake.
Since 2009, the festival is held once in two year and includes master classes on acting and directing skills, various seminars and meetings.
