THE WINNERS OF THE «TEACHER OF THE YEAR 2021» COMPETITION HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED

On June 14, in the assembly hall of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D.Azadi, initiated by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, was held a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the annual competition «Teacher of the Year 2021».

For the right to receive the title of the best teacher, 25 teachers competed from all higher educational institutions of the country. According to the terms of the competition, one teacher represented each university. Seven winners and prizewinners were determined out of the total number of participants. 

The highest award of the competition – the Grand Prix – was awarded to Gurbanguly Muradova, senior lecturer (Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi). The first line of the podium was taken by Oguljan Atdaeva, senior lecturer (Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management).

The second places were awarded to Jumadurdy Annaorazov, senior lecturer, candidate of historical sciences (Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkuli) and Orazgylych Orazgylydzhev, candidate of medical sciences (State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after M. Garryev).

The third prize was won by Nurmukhammet Mukhammedov, teacher (Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan), Edzhegul Berdyeva, senior teacher, candidate of chemical sciences (Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan), and Chinar Khojamukhammedova (Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering).

The winners and prizewinners of the competition were awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees and memorable gifts.

The competition was held within the walls of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management from May 27 to 28 and included three stages. The experience, professionalism, active pedagogical and scientific activities of the teachers were assessed by a competent jury, which included representatives of the Ministry of Education of the country, the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, scientific and educational national publications. 

In the first round of the competition, educational and educational, scientific activities of teachers, including author's textbooks, teaching and methodological manuals, scientific articles, reviews, etc. were assessed.  Pedagogical skills were visually assessed in the second stage, and in this context - the organization of classes, professional presentation of the material and the level of mastering the topic, the ability to motivate students. 

The third, final stage was conducted in the form of a question-answer, which tested the knowledge of teachers of the legislative framework of national education, modern standards, principles and priority areas of the educational process. Thus, the tasks included questions on the following topics: "Concepts for improving the teaching of foreign languages in Turkmenistan", "Concepts for digitalization of education", various programs aimed at obtaining education for young people at the level of international standards.
