TURKMENISTAN LEADS IN PIPELINE GAS SUPPLY TO THE PRC IN THE SECOND QUARTER OF 2021

Turkmenistan takes leading positions in supply of pipeline gas to China in the second quarter of 2021, the INTERFAX informs referring to the information from the General Customs Administration of the PRC.
According to this data, China has imported 4.227 billion cubic meters of pipeline gas totally in April 2021 (after 3.427 billion cubic meters one year ago). Turkmenistan has delivered 2.576 billion cubic meters, Russia – 487 milllion cubic meters, Kazakhstan – 617 million cubic meters, Uzbekistan – 229 million cubic meters, Myanmar – 318 million cubic meters.
The Interfax also notes that Russia continues supplying gas at the lowest cost to China comparing all suppliers of pipeline gas. Thus, the cost of deliver of Russian gas to China has increased in the second quarter of 2021 for the first time since the beginning of supplies.
