TURKMENISTAN AND DAGESTAN DISCUSS RESUMPTION OF FERRY TRANSPORTATION

Turkmenistan and Dagestan discuss the subject of resumption of Turkmen automobile ferry transportation. Russian News Agency of Dagestan informs that this subjects has been discussed at extended session of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan dedicated to transport issues.

Speaking at the session, Acting Head of the republic Sergey Melikov has said that Makhachkala Sea Trade Port is a strategic facility of transport infrastructure and organization of ferry line is one of the most important direction of development of the port in near-term future.

“In this regard, the talks on resumption of Turkmen automobile ferry transportation are held with Turkmenistan as well as perspective of opening of ferry lines with the Islamic Republic of Iran are reviewed”, - RNA Dagestan cites Melikov.
