GRANULAR FERTILIZERS FROM POULTRY WASTE
The State Service for Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan issued a patent to the group of researchers of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, teachers and students of S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, who proposed a new way to obtain environmentally friendly organic mineral fertilizers by processing poultry waste.
In laboratory conditions, the accredited department "Physical and chemical analyzes and certification" developed a new method for obtaining fertilizers, using poultry dung of broiler chickens and phosphorite minerals of the Magdanly-Kugitang region. In the course of experimental work, raw materials were first cleared of other waste, then were ground at a ratio of solids and liquids of 1:3.5. Chicken feathers were dissolved in solutions of mineral acids (sulfuric or nitric acid), the concentration of which ranges from 25% to 30%. Phosphorite flour (particle size no more than 1.0 mm) was added to the resulting solution, and then crushed poultry dung was thoroughly mixed with the resulting mixture for 30 minutes. The pH value of the mixture was adjusted to 5-6. The excess liquid in the resulting mixture was eliminated in an open container to a total moisture content of 55-58%. Then the resulting fertilizer was granulated and dried.
It was possible to use total nitrogen without losses due to solutions of mineral acids. This method is distinguished for the use of simple technology, economy and ease of use in all agricultural associations. The use of mineral acids makes it possible to change the properties and ratio of gases emitted from a homogeneous mixture of poultry dung, and this leads to a noticeable decrease in the harmful effect of waste on the environment from, and also prevents the loss of nitrogen, which is a nutrient.
The invention reduces the negative impact on the environment arising from the storage of poultry dung and the production of fertilizer, reduces the processing time, and reduces the cost of the final product. The results of the research work have shown that environmentally friendly organomineral fertilizer has the property of enriching the soil with humus.
