HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS OFFER NEW SPECIALIZATIONS

Year after year, higher education institutions of Turkmenistan offer more and more new in-demand specializations to meet the needs of the national economy’s sectors for highly qualified specialists.

The coming academic year is no exception. Twelve higher education institutions have added a total of 32 new specialties to their training programs. Prospective applicants are now invited to apply for admission.

Turkmen Agricultural Institute (Dashoguz), which prepares specialists for the domestic agricultural sector, offers Bachelor’s degree programs in six new areas of study, such as Agricultural Engineering; Hydrotechnical Systems; Land Management and Cadasters; Information Security Management; Economics and Management; Accounting and Auditing.

The Oguzkhan University of Engineering Technologies boasts new Bachelor’s degree courses in five new fields: Cartography and Geoinformatics; Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems; Information Security Engineering; Innovation Management and International Business; Computational Linguistics.

Yagshygeldi Kakaev International Oil and Gas University offers five new specialties as well. Bachelor’s degree-seeking students will be trained in areas, such as Mining Engineering; Standardization and Metrology; Technological Machinery and Equipment; Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Technology; Personnel Management.

A number of other higher education institutions have made additions to their Bachelor’s degree programs as well. For instance, Turkmen State Finance Institute will prepare specialists in the following fields: Finance and Credit; Risk Management and Insurance; Banking and Money. The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan now runs degree courses in International Relations; International Economics; Political Communication and Digital Journalism. The Turkmen State Institute of Culture and the State Institute of Architecture and Construction will grant degrees in Acting, TV Journalism, Film Directing, and Informatics and Communication Technology, and Chemical Engineering respectively.

The following institutions have one newly added specialty: S. Seidi Turkmen State Teachers’ Training Institute - Labor and Technology Basics; Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan - Radiotechnical Devices for Signal Transmission, Reception and Processing; Myrat Garryev State Medical University - Rehabilitation and Sport Medicine.

The State Academy of Arts and Turkmen State Power Engineering Institute (the city of Mary) now offer ‘Animation and Graphical Design’ and ‘Measurement Instrumentation and Technology’ respectively.
