BRITISH COMPANY WILL BUILD A BERTH ON THE TURKMEN COAST OF THE CASPIAN SEA FOR THE EXPORT OF PETROLEUM PRODUCTS

The UK-based Petro Gas LLP will build a berth on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea for the export of oil products from the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries. A corresponding decree was signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting in order to ensure uninterrupted supply of Turkmen oil products to foreign markets.

The document allows the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries to conclude a contract with Petro Gas LLP (Great Britain) for the design and construction of a third berth at the Kenar enterprise for the storage and shipment of petroleum products, subject to the commissioning of the facility within 30 months.

As the leader of the nation pointed out, priority should be given to increasing the volume of crude oil supplies to the TKNPZ, expanding the geography of sales markets for products manufactured by the largest oil refinery in the region, ensuring their timely shipment to domestic and foreign consumers.
