THE PARK OF CULTURE AND REST "TASHKENT" IS BEING BUILT ON MAKHTUMKULI AVENUE
The Tashkent Culture and Leisure Park in honor of the friendship between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will be built in Ashgabat on Makhtumkuli Avenue. The territory of the Gunesh park was chosen as the construction site. The designer and at the same time the contractor of the construction is a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the economic company “Zehinli iş”.
The contractor has already started construction of the facility. A landscaped garden with lush greenery of plants, luxurious flower beds and neat paths will be created on an area of about 30 thousand square meters, and more than twenty objects will be erected imitating the sights of the Uzbek capital. A monumental arch “Ezgulik” (Arch of good and noble aspirations) will be installed at the entrance to the Tashkent park. In Tashkent, the entrance to the Independence Square is decorated with such an arch.
On the main alley, starting at the central arch, the main fountain will be built, which will be crowned with figures of storks, which have long symbolized peace and tranquility in the fraternal country. On the continuation of the alley, the jets of two more fountains in the national style will rise, and at the end of the alley there is a platform for cultural events with a stage. These objects will be decorated with glazed multi-colored ceramic tiles with world-famous Uzbek ornaments and patterns.
This geometric pattern, which is formed into a pattern of intersecting squares forming an octagonal star, will be used on many objects in the park. In particular, it will decorate the tiles of the main alley, pedestrian paths, lined the domes of four rotundas - round buildings with benches and columns around the perimeter intended for visitors' recreation, fountains with monuments depicting a teapot with a bowl. By the way, this unique architectural landmark of the park will be placed at the entrance to a two-story teahouse, which can simultaneously receive up to a hundred visitors, as well as in the central part of the restaurant. One of the features of this institution will be not only famous Uzbek dishes, but also a beautiful view of the central alley of the park, where an exact copy of the unique building of the Tashkent capital - will be erected its television tower, which is a monument of architecture and urban planning of Uzbekistan. Simultaneously with the walking area, a play area is being created in the park. In the shade of the trees there will be an equipped children's playground for toddlers, attractions and a Ferris wheel.
One of the attractions of the new friendship park will be the territory of the Center for Healthy Lifestyle (Ecopark named after Babur), which opened in Tashkent several years ago. Here, as in the capital of Uzbekistan, various sports grounds and paths will be located. Here you can play mini-football and volleyball, tennis and badminton, exercise on simulators, run, roller-skate or bike. For children, playgrounds with slides, swings, labyrinths and rope ladders will be equipped. It can be added that the “Toy Mekany” building existing on the territory of the former Gunesh park is also being restored, and it will, as before, receive guests. A parking lot for dozens of cars will be adjacent to the park.
They must say that in Tashkent for several years there has been a park "Ashgabat" opened in honor of friendship between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. An octagonal star and the image of the Akhal-Teke horse - the main symbols of Turkmenistan - are often used in the architecture and decoration of this remarkable object, and the indoor amphitheater with an auditorium resembles a bird flying into a nest in shape - a miniature copy of the new Ashgabat airport.
The park is especially popular among the population of the capital. Here is the highest Ferris wheel in the country and the only dolphinarium. Concerts and festive animation are held here. There are flowerbeds and hedges throughout the area, benches and modern art sculptures such as a chess field. Entertainment structures are built for any age: from a small train for the smallest to a roller coaster for adults. There is an area with 60 attractions and slot machines.
