THE ELEVENTH CENTRAL ASIA TRADE FORUM STARTS ON 4 OCTOBER, 2021

The eleventh Annual Central Asia Trade Forum starts its work on 4 October, 2021. This year the event will be hold under the slogan “Reconstruction after pandemic through the extension of the regional cooperation”. The meeting will be organized in virtual format by the USAID Agency. The forum is planned for five working days, and will consist of ten session and two round tables, and will be completed on October 8.

The meeting will be opened with the address of the Deputy Chief of USA Mission in Kazakhstan – Ms. Judy Kuo on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the cooperation between five Central Asian republics and USA,

Among the experts invited to share their knowledge with the participants of the large-scaled event are over 80 famous specialists, including Tatyana Proskuryakova, the Regional Director of the World bank on Central Asia, Barbara Oliveira Ramos, Chief, Research and Strategies for Exports at ITC, Vickie Ku, Prof. Macau University of Science and Technology.

After the address of Ms. Judy Kuo on October 4, the meeting “Trends in trade in the post- COVID-19 pandemic period” and round table focused on the support of the entrepreneurship in the Central Asia after the stabilizing of the ecological situation in the world will also take place.

On 5 of October the meetings dedicated to the tourist industry recovery and solving problems related to the trade and transit in the region using the digital methods. The most intensive will be program of events planned on October 6. This day the discussion on the water sustainability in the Central Asia, on the investments in the renewable sources of energy and digital future of such areas of economy as transport and logistics will be held.

The program of the fourth day of forum will open the session focused on the regional interconnection in the Asian continent. In the afternoon the project participants will proceed to the discussion of the electronic commerce topic.

The final day of the meeting will be dedicated to the coverage of issue on the development of competition in the fruit-and-vegetables sector of the CA countries and role of woman and youth in business after improvement of the ecological situation in the region.

In the course of the years of holding the forum about 10 000 people took part there, representing more than 30 countries of the world. The major targets of the meeting are as follows: exchange of ideas and solutions, and building of the long-term international business relations for the successful conduct of business.
