TURKMENISTAN AT THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CIS
Turkmenistan was represented at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "30 Years of the Commonwealth of Independent States: Results, Prospects", which was held in Minsk from 28 to 29 September.
The event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Commonwealth was organized by the CIS Executive Committee and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the Commonwealth Member States. It brought together over 300 representatives of state bodies and academic circles of the CIS member states, representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as the bodies of sectoral cooperation of the CIS.
The participants got acquainted with the state of cooperation within the CIS and the main promising directions of its further development, the importance of cooperation between the economies of the Commonwealth countries.
In addition to the plenary session, the conference included sectional sessions devoted to economic and humanitarian interaction, innovative cooperation of the CIS member states. Also within the framework of the conference, a meeting of the Council of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS) and a forum of the Council of Young Scientists of IAAS were held.
As a result of the forum, a draft resolution was prepared on the proposals and initiatives developed at the sessions of the sections.
It should be noted that the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will publish a collection of all reports and speeches, which will be used by interested departments in improving the activities of the CIS.
