AUTUMN GIFTS OF FIELDS
The autumn harvesting of carrot has finished in Dashoguz velayat. The agriculturists of Gerogly etrap have successfully delivered a plan on collection of crops. Thus, the vegetable growers of the daykhan association «Magtymguly» harvested 37 ton of carrot, that one ton more than planned; the daykhan associations «Zaman», «D.Gylyç» and «Aksaraý» collected it more than planned as well. Total autumn harvest of carrot in etrap made 93 ton, that considerably exceeds forecasted figures. The vegetable growers of the daykhan association «Мedeniýet» of Boldumsaz etrap and farmers of the daykhan associations «Аkgala», «Bereket», «Hakykat» of Kunyaurgench etrap gather the grown root crops from the field at high rate.
This autumn the carrot crop was grown on the field of four etraps of the north region. At output not less than 180 hundred kilograms per hectare, 360 ton of vegetable crop is planned to harvest from the fields.
It ought to be noted that about eight and half thousand ton of the spring-planted carrot was earlier gathered in velayat.
The vegetable growing in Dashoguz velayat is one of the main branches of agriculture. Its development is performed on the scientific basis, with regard to the climatic characteristics of region and its soil-water resources. The State support of the producers of agricultural product, the large-scale reforms successfully realized in agrarian sphere, promote the stable provision the population with the home-grown fresh fruits and vegetables, and export abroad of part of the grown production. It should be noted, that production ramp-up of various fruits and vegetable, here, among others, is achieved due to the double cropping of some species of crops and expansion of network of modern greenhouse facilities of different capacity and form of ownership.
