REGULAR AIR TRAFFIC IS CARRIED OUT
The regular air traffic from the Kerki International Airport was opened on 3 January, 2022. The airplane of flight number T5-313 departed from Ashgabat city in the first half of the day arrived to the Kerki International Airport birin one hour. After a short while, the airplane with the first passengers took a flight to Ashgabat city. Thus, the residents of Halach, Hojambaz, Kerki, Dowletli, Koytendag etraps of velayat have an opportunity to flight to the capital of our country and Dashoguz city from the Kerki International Airport without the need for visiting Turkmenabat city. Besides, the works are carried out in the new airport on fuel filling and technical service of the foreign states’ airplanes which perform the international flights.
The Kerki International Airport was put into operation on June, 2021 in a solemn opening ceremony with the commencement address of our esteemed President. It was presented with the official ICAO document on the assignment of the four-letter location code UTAE and the Certificate of Conformity to International Standards issued by Munich International Airport.
The ICAO index indicates the geographical location of the aviation service that regulates communications between fixed points and is intended to ensure the safety of air navigation, regularity, efficiency and economy of air traffic.
The Certificate of conformity, issued to the equipped with the latest technology Kerki International Airport, certifies compliance of the airport parameters related to planning and design, requirements for their physical characteristics, operation and maintenance of aerodromes, as well as the used landing, navigation, meteorological, light-signaling and other necessary systems with the International rules and standards.
