CENTRAL ASIA - CHINA: ECONOMIC PARTNERS AND LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE
At the initiative of the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, on January 25 this year, an online summit was held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries of Central Asia and China.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that trade and economic ties between the Central Asian countries and China traditionally became the main issue discussed at this Summit by the heads of state who spoke at it.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in his speech emphasized the importance of economic ties between the Central Asian region and China, which date back to ancient times. And the current cooperation has a significant constructive impact on ensuring global peace and stability.
Turkmenistan, as President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, considers the PRC and the Central Asian countries as its key partners and like-minded people in the effective implementation of the new philosophy - "Dialogue is a guarantee of peace" in international practice.
The role of the combined potential, powerful resource, industrial, technological base of the countries, which open up great prospects for cooperation in the economy, where interaction in the fuel and energy sector is a priority, was also noted. And as an example of true partnerships based on equality, awareness of multilateral benefits, the head of Turkmenistan named the strategic gas pipeline Turkmenistan-China, passing through the territory of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Speaking at the summit, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping highly appreciated China's strategic partnership with the countries of the Central Asian region.
