THE PRESIDENT OF TURKEY CONGRATULATED THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN ON THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey.
«As the President of the country that was the first to recognize the independence of Turkmenistan and the first to open its representative office, I sincerely congratulate Your Excellency on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations,» - said the Turkish leader in a message addressed to the head of Turkmenistan.
According to Recep Tayyip Erdogan, over the past 30 years since Turkmenistan gained its independence, relations between the two countries have strengthened in all areas on the basis of mutual respect and partnership in common interests. The head of Turkey noted that the participation of Turkmenistan in the Organization of Turkic States as an observer led to the acquisition of a new potential for cooperation in bilateral and regional relations. He also emphasized that our common linguistic, spiritual roots and cordial ties unite us much stronger than mutual benefit.
«For 30 years, Turkmenistan, with its policy of permanent neutrality, which received the support of our country and the entire world community, as well as thanks to the constructive and responsible steps of its Leader - Arkadag, has played a leading role in ensuring regional stability and progress,» - said the Turkish leader in a message.
The head of Turkey expressed full confidence that the new dynamics in the development of Turkish-Turkmen relations, given to them last year after his visit to Turkmenistan, which is on the doorstep of historical transformations and progress, and the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Turkey to participate in the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, will and continue to accelerate in all directions.
«When we, like brothers, stand shoulder to shoulder, there are no milestones that we could not reach, and we are determined to further strengthen and develop our primordially brotherly relations,» - declared Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his message.
He once again congratulated the head of Turkmenistan on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and wished His Excellency and His family health and happiness, and to the fraternal Turkmen people well-being and prosperity.
