"YOUNG HERALDS OF THE WORLD": THE RESULTS OF THE FIFTH GAME
The fifth game of the first round of the intellectual competition "Young messengers of the world" among high school students of the country's schools was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The topic of the next game within the framework of the project was “Foreign policy and diplomatic traditions of the state of Khorezmshahs”.
On the eve of the main event, namely the game itself, a general education lesson was held for schoolchildren, designed to expand the knowledge of the participants on the topic of the competition, to increase the level of preparation for it. The children went on a journey through the pages of their native history together with Kakajan Dzhanbekov, candidate of historical sciences, academic secretary of the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
For young listeners, a story was told about the most interesting events and facts from the history of the state of Khorezmshahs, located on the route of the Great Silk Road. The attention of schoolchildren was focused on domestic and foreign policy, relations with neighboring countries, culture and traditions of diplomacy in the state.
An excursion to the Institute of History and Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, from which the young heralds of the world received a lot of unforgettable impressions, also helped the participants of the fifth game to tune in, prepare, and gain additional knowledge. Thanks to the activities carried out and, of course, conscientious and painstaking self-preparation, the high school students were absolutely ready to participate in the competition.
5 boys and 3 girls took part in the fifth game of the first round of the project. These are students of grades 9-11 of the capital's schools - the 87th secondary school specialized in in-depth study of foreign languages, the specialized boarding school named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi, the 16th secondary school.
The competent jury included Adviser of the Department of European Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Nurberdy Amanmyradov, Ph.D. Turkmenistan, candidate of historical sciences Ata Nuriev.
All the action traditionally took place in a huge Turkmen yurt built for the game. Here, according to the rules, the starting positions for eight participants are the eight pointed corners of the Star of Oguzhan, woven in the form of a carpet. Questions are raised for the contestants and each correct answer is a step forward to the coveted center of the Star and a chance to become the best in the intellectual battle of the players. The game is the game. Of the eight young messengers of peace, only two should become the best. Even despite the fact that all the participants, showing off their knowledge of the history of their native country, the traditions of diplomacy, turned out to be worthy rivals to each other.
A difficult choice for the jury team, or as it is named in the spirit of the game - the "Council of Wise Men" was made. The winners of the fifth game of the first round of the project "Young Messengers of the World" were Arazdzhemal Ovezova and Kadyrmyrat Ovezgylyjov, both 11th grade students of the specialized boarding school named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi. These guys got the right to participate in the semi-finals of the competition.
The winners and participants of the game were presented with valuable gifts from the sponsors of the event, as well as certificates and letters of thanks from the organizing university.
The fifth game of the first round of the intellectual competition for high school students "Young Messengers of the World" will be able to watch the Turkmen TV viewers, for whom it will be broadcast in the coming days on the air of the national TV channel "Miras".
The next, sixth game of the first round of the Young Heralds of the World contest will take place on March 29 this year. A new team of eight players will enter the fight in it, and the theme of the upcoming intellectual competition will be "Foreign policy and diplomacy of the Ottoman Empire."
Recall that the spectacular competition for students in grades 9-11 of the country's schools was conceived and implemented by representatives of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country and the School of Young Diplomats as part of this university.
It is impressive how deeply and carefully the whole organization of the most interesting project is thought out to the smallest details and nuances. Such a professional and responsible approach to its creation is aimed at finding capable and talented high school students who dream of becoming a diplomat. This project stimulates the initiatives and aspirations of the children, helps to establish themselves in choosing a future profession, gives confidence in their abilities and hope that the dream will one day come true.
