THE STATE ENERGY INSTITUTE OF TURKMENISTAN INVITES TO THE OLYMPIAD

The State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, located in the city of Mary, Mary Velayat, will hold the I Open International Internet Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics. The institute invites students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries to participate in it.

All interested students can take part in the Olympiad, regardless of their specialization at the university and year of study. The official languages of the competition are Turkmen, Russian and English. The intellectual review will be held in the form of individual and team competitions. No more than five students from one university are allowed to participate in each of the two directions. As for the teams, they can be teams, i.e. formed from students of several higher educational institutions.

Participants of the individual Olympiad will be offered eight tasks in three sections of theoretical mechanics. Including two tasks in the "Static" section, two - in the "Kinematics" section and four more - in the "Dynamics" section. The contestants will have to cope with these tasks within 240 minutes (4 hours).

For student teams, the organizers have prepared five tasks in the sections of theoretical mechanics, for the solution of which 60 minutes (1 hour) will be allotted.

Tasks for individual and team Olympiads will be posted on the day of the Olympiad on the official website of the Institute. Here, in the Competitions section, registration is open for those wishing to take part in the Olympiad. Applications for participation will continue until April 30 of this year. The Olympiad itself will be held from 10 to 14 May. The best experts in theoretical mechanics will be named and awarded with diplomas of the corresponding degrees on the closing day of the Olympiad.

The winners and prize-winners of the competition will be determined by the highest number of points scored based on the results of individual and team rounds. In order to ensure openness and transparency of the process of holding the Olympiad, to conduct a fair assessment of the participants, the competition will be monitored on the Google Meet software platform.
