GRENOBLE PUBLISHING HOUSE PRESENTED A NEW METHOD OF LEARNING FRENCH IN TURKMENISTAN

The Presses Universitaires de Grenoble (PUG) publishing house, in cooperation with the French Institute in Turkmenistan, organized an online pedagogical seminar for French language teachers of Ashgabat universities.

The meeting was opened by the Ambassador of France to Turkmenistan, Ms. Isabelle Guinel, who delivered a welcoming speech to all participants. Within the framework of the seminar, foreign colleagues presented to the attention of Turkmen teachers a new methodology «A vous!», according to which a textbook with a digital application was published. The event was hosted in French by Sylvie Bigot, President of the PUG Executive Board, and Isabelle Grouka, Director of French as a Foreign Language.

During the meeting, the principles and advantages of the new method in learning French were discussed. The seminar also discussed the topics of developing students creative activity in the learning process, productive ways of teaching French at an elementary level online, and others. The online seminar was accompanied by a donation from the PUG publishing house of printed textbooks for students of three metropolitan universities that teach French. Among them are the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D.Azadi and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.
