The creative event was based on a common lesson given by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth and the beginning of the new 2021-2022 academic year. Guided by the valuable advice received during the lesson, wise fatherly instructions and good parting words, representatives of the young generation of the country approached the participation in the competition with special attention and interest, with all responsibility.
The event helped to reveal the creative potential of the participants, allowed them to plunge into the world of arts, which folk craftsmen have been famous for since ancient times. National fine arts, architecture, carpentry, pottery, jewelry, unique methods of processing leather, the manufacture of wind, percussion, stringed musical instruments ... All this is an invaluable cultural and historical heritage of our ancestors, which is the main task of the young generation of the country to protect and increase.
This was the purpose of the competition - educating the younger generation on the basis of national values, revealing the talents and abilities of the student youth of our country, increasing interest in art, preserving the national heritage and material values of the Turkmen people.
Let's return to the folk proverb that titled the creative competition, and its meaning and ideological orientation united caring young people - true patriots of their country. In this regard, let us recall the speech of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty, held in February this year.
As the head of state emphasized, our glorious ancestors paid special attention to the education of the younger generation. The wise words created by them, which have come down to our days through many centuries, have a very deep meaning. In the upbringing of the younger generation, the role of such proverbs as “The example of the elders is a life principle for generations”, “If the student does not surpass the mentor, then the craft will disappear”, “The traditions of the fathers are priceless, and whoever loves them, they love the Motherland!”, “Valor generations is the honor of the people. The meaning inherent in proverbs should be a life principle for future generations. These generations should further enrich our successes and achievements. They must reach even greater heights. They must further elevate the authority of our independent Motherland!
If the student does not surpass the mentor, then the craft will disappear (turkmenistan.gov.tm)
