CONFERENCE IN HONOR OF THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CONSTITUTION AND THE STATE FLAG OF THE MOTHERLAND
Today, on the eve of one of the most significant dates in the modern history of the country, a scientific and practical conference “30 years of the Constitution of Turkmenistan: a new historical era and modern experience in legislative activity” was held in the capital.
The forum dedicated to the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag of the country was organized by the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.
Deputies of the Mejlis and members of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh, prominent scientists and political scientists, teachers of higher schools of the capital, representatives of public associations, creative intelligentsia, the media, honorary elders, and youth were invited to participate in the solemn meeting in the conference hall of the Center for Public Organizations.
An exhibition was organized in the foyer of the Center, where works of arts and crafts and contemporary art, museum valuables, and publishing products are presented.
During the plenary session of the conference, reports were heard on the topic of the Constitution, the State Flag of Turkmenistan, which are our national pride, symbols of gaining true statehood, values that Turkmen people treat as shrines that increase the feeling of patriotism, the desire for creativity, labor enthusiasm.
During the conference, its participants also heard reports on international and inter-parliamentary cooperation. In this regard, the heroic activity of the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was noted. It was emphasized that, based on the positive experience accumulated by our people over a long historical period, and based on the constitutional principles of independence and neutrality, over the past thirty years, the international authority of the Fatherland has been consistently increased, large-scale activities have been carried out to maintain friendly relations with fraternal peoples in the name of development and peace.
Speakers also noted the importance of the recently adopted Program “Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State: National Program for Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052”. And in this regard, embodying the best examples of international law, theoretical and practical achievements of both domestic and foreign state building, the Constitution of our Motherland is called upon to become a standard, the basis for ongoing social and democratic reforms, the participants of the forum stated.
In the second half of the day, the forum continued its work in the course of breakout sessions, at which issues of practical implementation of socio-economic reforms under the leadership of the head of state were considered.
The participants of the scientific and practical conference expressed their sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his constant concern for improving the social and living standards of the people, bringing the country to new frontiers of development, assuring that they would continue to work selflessly, contributing to the implementation of the tasks set and the achievement of the Goals sustainable development.
At the end of the concert program, popular folk and pop singers, amateur groups performed melodies and songs dedicated to the beloved Motherland, its hardworking and talented people.
