The Ambassador of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan presented copies of his credentials

On October 20, 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan, Bandaru Wilsonbabu, during which the Ambassador presented copies of his credentials to the Turkmen side.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to this important post and wished him success in his work.

During the meeting, the parties noted the high level of political and diplomatic dialogue, as well as trade-economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties between the two countries.

It was especially emphasized that mutual high-level visits play a key role in developing interstate ties.

The parties discussed the two countries' interactions within international and regional structures. In this regard, India's consistent support for Turkmenistan's policy of permanent neutrality and its international initiatives for peace and sustainable development was emphasized. The diplomats also praised bilateral cooperation in culture and education and exchanged views on its further development.

Ambassador Bandaru Wilsonbabu expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for its hospitality and assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen friendly ties between the two countries.
