Telephone conversation was held between the heads of the foreign policy agencies of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation

On February 12, 2026, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

During the conversation, the parties discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, paying special attention to the practical implementation of previously reached agreements, as well as the schedule of upcoming contacts and joint events.

The significance of coordinating efforts within multilateral frameworks was emphasized, particularly in the format of the CIS and the Caspian littoral states.

The ministers also exchanged mutual congratulations on the occasion of the professional holidays of the diplomatic service workers of the two countries.
