The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Turkmenistan presented his credentials

On April 24, 2026, on the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Speaker of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova accepted the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Turkmenistan (with residence in Moscow), Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira.

Congratulating him on his appointment to this important post on behalf of the head of state, the speaker of the national parliament wished the diplomat success in consistently strengthening interstate relations.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome in Turkmenistan, the Ambassador conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of the Argentine Republic, Javier Miley, to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

During the meeting, the diplomat was briefed on our country's peace-loving foreign policy and the international initiatives it puts forward to promote universal prosperity and sustainable development. As noted, independent and neutral Turkmenistan places particular importance on strengthening mutually beneficial dialogue with all interested parties, including Latin American states. The Ambassador was also briefed in detail on the structure of the Mejlis and its multifaceted activities aimed at improving the national legislative framework.

A thorough exchange of views on a wide range of issues related to Turkmen-Argentine relations took place in bilateral and multilateral formats, primarily within the United Nations and other authoritative international organizations. Emphasis was placed on the importance of strengthening interparliamentary dialogue in the area of ​​legislative drafting.

In conclusion, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Turkmenistan assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen interstate cooperation based on mutual trust and respect.
