The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kabul participated in an event dedicated to the World Urban Forum

On May 5, 2026, at the Kabul Grand Hotel, UN-Habitat Afghanistan and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Kabul held an event dedicated to the World Urban Forum, which will be held in Baku from May 17 to 22 this year.

Heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Kabul participated in the event.

During the event, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kabul, H. Ovezov, delivered a speech in which he presented information about Turkmenistan's active cooperation with UN-Habitat and Turkmenistan's initiatives aimed at improving urban infrastructure and developing environmentally friendly and sustainable societies.

In addition, participants were provided with information about the town of Arkadag, where digital and green technologies are being introduced into the life support system.

Photographs of Arkadag were displayed at an exhibition organized as part of the event. A video about Arkadag was shown to the participants too.
