ROUND TABLE MEETINGS WERE HELD WITH THE DIPLOMATIC ACADEMIES OF UKRAINE AND ITALY
On November 26, 2020, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, a round table was held with the participation of leaders, faculty and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
It was noted that the neutrality of Turkmenistan has become a key instrument in strengthening peace and mutual trust, acting as an effective instrument for ensuring regional and international cooperation.
During the round table, the progress of joint work to expand scientific cooperation between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, as well as the possibilities of its development were discussed.
On November 26, an online meeting was also held between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Diplomatic Academy of the Italian Republic. The meeting was attended by directors, teachers and students of two universities.
At the beginning of the event, the participants exchanged views on the 25th anniversary of the neutrality of Turkmenistan and the proclamation of 2020 as the year “Turkmenistan Home of Neutrality”, as well as on the role of Turkmenistan's neutrality in ensuring peace, security and sustainable development at the national, regional and international levels.
In the course of an active exchange of views, agreements were reached on expanding cooperation in the field of exchange of students, teachers, as well as scientific publications, joint research, as well as holding scientific conferences and seminars online.
