CHINA INCREASES PRODUCTION AND IMPORT OF OIL AND GAS

China has increased the production and import of oil and gas in January – April this year. The Financial Market informs that this is indicated by the information of the State Statistic Department (SSD).

Thus, China increased the production of gas by 1.9 percent comparing the same period one year before up to 65.63 tons. At the same time, the import of oil in January – April hs grown by 7.2 percent up to 179.58 million tons. The production of natural has increased by 11.6 percent comparing with the same period of the last year until 70.2 billion cubic meters gas in the PRC in January – April. The import of natural gas has grown by 22.4 percent up to 39.46 million tons in this period.

The news that the economy of the PRC is confidently recovering and the import of oil and gas is increased at high rates are encouraging the main suppliers of hydrocarbon resources to the PRC, which includes Turkmenistan. Thus, Ashgabat is a leader of supply of pipeline natural gas to the energy market of China.
