EVENT DEDICATED TO THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE AND THE 25TH JUBILEE OF NEUTRALITY OF TURKMENISTAN WAS HELD IN JAPAN
On the 8th of July 2021, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan jointly with the Japanese-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship League organized an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence and the 25th jubilee of Neutrality of Turkmenistan that took place in the premises of the Parliament of Japan.
The session was attended by the deputies of the Parliament of Japan, heads and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Justice of Japan, as well as the Turkmen students studying in the institutions of higher education of Japan.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan G.Elyasov, Former Prime Minister of Japan, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament Shinzo Abe, Chairman of the Secretariat of the Japanese-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship League Matsushita Shinpei and a number of deputies gave speeches during the event.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan dated 11th of December 2020, Shinzo Abe was awarded with the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan “Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 25 ýyllygyna” (“To the anniversary of 25th jubilee of Neutrality of Turkmenistan) for his contribution into the strengthening of independence, sovereignty and legal status of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, as well as for reinforcing the standing of the country on the world arena and for development of international relations. The medal was formally awarded to awardee during the event.
Mr. Shinzo Abe expressed his respect for the presentation of the high medal and conveyed his gratitude to the President and the Government of Turkmenistan, as well as voiced the assuredness that he will make utmost efforts to develop cooperation between the two countries in the future.
