HEADS OF THE CENTRAL ASIAN STATES DISCUSSED ISSUES OF JOINT STRUGGLE WITH COVID-19

Heads of the Central Asian states, during the third Consultative meeting in Avaza national tourist zone discussed issues of joint counteraction of novel type of COVID pandemic.

At the briefing following the results of the summit, deputy chairman, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov told of it.

Addressing Turkmen and foreign journalists, the minister noted that heads of the states of region in details considered issues of joint counteraction to global threat of modernity novel type of COVID infection.

«This topic was sounded in speeches of all five presidents, a wide exchange of opinions, up to promotion of very serious initiative which we have to realize together in the nearest future» took place, - the deputy chairman told.

Meredov underlined that the Turkmen party, to addition to already accepted measures, proposes to make active contacts between medical services of the Central Asian countries in the area of scientific diplomacy.

«In the speech of the President of Turkmenistan the expediency of creation of the central-Asian regional centre for epidemiology, virology and bacteriology was underlined. The idea was supported by heads of Central-Asian states, I think that in the nearest future we with colleagues will work on how to start practical realisation of this proposal», - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan stated.
