ROUND TABLE DEDICATED TO SIGNIFICANT DATES OF TURKMENISTAN WAS ORGANIZED IN IRI
On October 17, 2021, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran organized a roundtable in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence and the 25th anniversary of Neutrality of Turkmenistan.
More than 20 representatives of media agencies of Iran such as IRNA, ISNA, Fars, Mehr, Risalat, Hamshahri and others were invited to the event held at the Embassy building.
In his speech, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the IRI noted important undertakings and international initiatives of Turkmenistan, achievements during the years of Independence, as well as wide-ranging activities carried out. Speaking about the status of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality and its 25th anniversary, the Ambassador emphasized that Turkmenistan initiated the declaration of 2021 as the International Year of Peace and Trust. He also noted that the 15th Summit of the Heads of States and Governments of the Economic Cooperation Organization will be held in Ashgabat later in the year.
In addition, regular steps to strengthen bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries were reported. The regional and global significance of the Sixth Caspian Summit, which is planned to be held in our country, was emphasized.
