A SOLEMN RECEPTION IN HONOR OF THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE OF TURKMENISTAN WAS HELD IN VIENNA

On October 18, 2021, a reception dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan was held in Vienna, Austria, which was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan jointly with the Austrian-Turkmen Society and the Trade House of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in Vienna.

The honorary guests of the celebration were representatives of Austrian ministries and departments, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Vienna, representatives of the Austrian business community, faculty of the Vienna Diplomatic Academy, Turkmen students studying at Austrian universities, journalists of a number of print and electronic publications.

The event was addressed by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Austria, President of the Austrian-Turkmen Society Neda Berger, as well as Deputy Head of the Trade House of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in Vienna Peter Gindl.

Having familiarized with the achievements of Turkmenistan over the years of Independence, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan spoke about the priorities of Turkmenistan and Austria in bilateral and multilateral relations, as well as the level and prospects of cooperation between the two states in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields.

In their speeches, the speakers also highly appreciated the policy of Turkmenistan and Austria in the development of the cultural and humanitarian sphere, which contributes to the maintenance of open and warm relations. The importance of the work of the Austrian-Turkmen society, contributing to the further development of bilateral relations, was also emphasized.

In addition, a presentation of the next special issue of the magazine of the Austrian-Turkmen society "Galkynysh" took place and a video clip dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan was demonstrated.

The main protocol part of the event was followed by musical performances by the "Galkynysh» Turkmen-Austrian orchestra.
