THE NATIONAL SDGS PLATFORM IS CREATED IN TURKMENISTAN
The creation process of the National platform for the collection and dissemination of the SDGs has completed, realized within the framework of the joint project of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) « "Partnering for SDGs acceleration”. It is based on the list of SDG indicators adopted by Turkmenistan and contains information, including sliders describing the country's achievements, metadata, charts, graphs and disaggregated data within SDG indicators.
The creation and implementation of a National platform for statistical reporting on SDGs is aimed at building a system for data monitoring and evaluating the results for planning and tracking progress towards the achievement of SDGs in the country, fulfilling international reporting obligations, preparing national reports on SDGs.
It is worth pointing out that Turkmenistan has developed and presented its National Voluntary Review in July 2019 covering Sustainable Development Goals SDGs) in the UN high level political forum.
The Turkmen delegation presented to the Forum the main directions of the country's socio-economic development, achievements in the implementation of the main national programs, adapted for the implementation of SDGs, - the message says.
A distinctive feature of the review is the use of an innovative approach, expressed in the analysis of the interrelationships between global targets and indicators.
