FUTSAL PLAYERS OF TURKMENISTAN WENT TO THE QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT OF THE ASIAN CUP-2022

The national futsal team of Turkmenistan went to the qualifying tournament of the Asian Cup-2022, which will be held from 10 to 12 April in Bishkek.

According to the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, today the futsal players of the national team flew from Ashgabat International Airport to Turkmenabat, from where they got to the Farap checkpoint by bus. Upon completion of all the necessary procedures for crossing the border, the team moved to Uzbekistan.

Before the start of the qualifying tournament, the national team of Turkmenistan will hold a small training camp in Tashkent, within the framework of which it plans to play two friendly matches with Uzbek teams.

Our team consists of 15 futsal players. 7 of them - from the current two-time champion of the country "Denizchi" - the futsal club of the International Seaport of Turkmenbashi, 4 - from the team "Kopetdag" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - vice-champion of the country, 3 - from the club "Gumrukchi" of the State Customs Office - bronze medalist of the national Super League and 1 - from the Milli Goshun team of the Ministry of Defense.

The first qualifying match of the Asian Cup-2022 in group "A" of the united zone "Center and South" the national team of Turkmenistan will play on April 10 with the hosts of the site - rivals from the Kyrgyz Republic. The next day, he will play with 12-time Asian champion Iran. And he will finish the qualifying tournament on April 12 with a game with the Maldives team.

In group "B" also in Bishkek will play: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Nepal.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the finals.

The final tournament of the Asian Cup-2022, in which 16 strongest futsal national teams of the confederation will perform, will be held from September 25 to October 20 in Kuwait.
